Lontoo-sympatiani ovat hyvin tiedossa. Aina valmiina lähdössä siihen suuntaan!

Kävin vastikään myös Pariisissa, työmatkalla. Vaikka olen ranska- ja Ranska-friikki, Pariisi ei jotenkin ole koskaan ollut mun juttu.

Ymmärrän kyllä – järjellä – miksi sitä pidetään niin ihkuna. Sydänalassani ei kuitenkaan ailahda sillees lämpimästi, kun ajattelen Eiffeliä tai Piafia tai cancan-typyjä tai giljotiinia.

Rooma sen sijaan… Ah.

Ajauduin siinä pariisilaisbulevardeja ypöyksin raahustaessani funtsimaan näitä kolmea eurooppalaista pääkaupunkia.

London vs. Paris vs. Rome

London, Paris or Rome?
Each of these magnificent European cities have their qualities. I use them differently, for different needs.

I go to London for trends and friends and hip and dynamism. I go there to see what comes next.

I go to Rome to surround me with ultimate beauty of (deleted) architecture and the handsomest of people, multiple layers of history, random walks around the city, discoveries behind every corner. Caffè lattes on a pleasant square, bathing in winter sunshine.

I go to Paris… well, only if I have to. For some reason Paris is not really my favourite, even though I love both France and the French language – and some French people, too.

There is something unfriendly, unapproachable about Paris.
Maybe it is because I am nearly always alone.
Paris should be enjoyed in good company.

So, on my trip to Paris(!) last week I came up with this unscientific, highly subjective comparison between the three cities.
